Collection
The teen or young adult section provides educational, informational, and recreational material to meet the needs of the library’s teen population. Need help with a question? Ask us in person, call us or email us at reference@florhamparklib.org and a response will be sent during normal business hours.
The collection includes the following materials:
- Popular nonfiction books - college directories, SAT and Advanced Placement exam study guides, and recent titles on health, careers, and current issues
- Fiction - check out new titles, popular titles, including graphic novels, and classics in hardcover and paperback format
- Board games and puzzles available for in-library use
- Wii, PS2 and XBOX video games
- Audio books - fiction and nonfiction titles available in unabridged CD format
- Magazines
Computer Workstations
There are two computers with one shared printer that were generously donated by the Friends of the Florham Park Library. Both computers have Microsoft Office, and access to the internet, MAIN catalog and databases. They are reserved daily from 2:30 pm to 7 pm for the young adults of Florham Park.
Homework Help
The Online Resources webpage contains several electronic sources which can be searched by simply selecting one and then entering your 13-digit library card number. Try Literary Reference Center for literature and Facts on File for history, geography, science and current events. Proquest, Ebsco and NewsBank contain current journal and newspaper articles that cover all subjects. Don’t forget to try Novelist Plus if you are looking for great fiction titles, and check out the new Learning Express to practice for the SATs and the ACT from home.
